Welcome!Welcome to the Highland Storm Minor Hockey Association (HSMHA) official website. The HSMHA started as a new association in 2001 when the Haliburton Huskies joined with the Minden Monarchs. Since this amalgamation, we are proud to display many championship and finalist banners in our two arenas, the Dysart Arena in Haliburton and the S.G. Nesbitt Arena in Minden. The Highland Storm Minor Hockey Association would like to congratulate former members Cody Hodgson (Vancouver Canucks) & Matt Duchene (Colorado Avalanche) on their great achievements. Rep TeamsThe HSMHA supports our OMHA travel rep teams from Tyke to Midget, ages 5 to 17, which play regular season games in the Muskoka/Parry Sound loop as a CC centre. Tryouts for rep teams start the first week of September with games starting in October. County LeagueOur House League, called the Highland Storm County League, grows larger every year. This league is non-contact and all practices and games are played in Haliburton County. The County league season runs from October to March, finishing with the year end Glen Dart Tournament. Ages for the County league include TimBits, ages 3 to 5; Juniors, 6 to 10; Intermediates, 11 to 13; and Seniors, 14 to 17. Please check the County league page for a schedule for the season.
